2-1-1 Day Press Conference

In honor of 2-1-1 Day (February 11), 2-1-1 San Diego held a press conference in partnership with the cities and the County of San Diego at the Copter 1 Base. The goal of the press conference was to increase the awareness of 2-1-1 and to show the community that new support is needed to sustain 2-1-1 San Diego’s current and continued growth. Speakers included Supervisor Greg Cox; Cheryl Cox, Mayor of Chula Vista; County Undersheriff Bill Gore; and Fire Chief Tracy Jarman. Cell Phones and 2-1-1

San Diego County residents with AT&T (Cingular), Cricket, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon wireless services can now dial 2-1-1 from their cell phones for easy, direct access. If you have service through another wireless provider, please dial (858) 300-1211.

Workplace Phones and 2-1-1

If 2-1-1 dialing is not available from a workplace phone, callers can dial (858) 300-1211 for direct access to a 2-1-1 live phone specialist. For questions about re-programming your office phone system to accept 2-1-1 calls, please visit our FAQs page or contact our Technical Help Desk.
