The mission of 2-1-1 San Diego is to optimize the effectiveness of this community's resources by sustaining a web of connections to meet needs and contribute to positive social change.

2-1-1 San Diego is a non-profit organization that provides the only free, confidential, multilingual, 24-hour dialing code for access to community, health, and disaster services and resources. In the event of a regional disaster, 2-1-1 is mobilized as the County's central source for information on relief and recovery resources

San Diego's 2-1-1 service has been designed and developed by a dedicated team of staff and board members, funders, the 2-1-1 Leadership Committee, and 2-1-1 Coalition, a collaborative of health and human service providers.

Online, By Phone, or in Print

For those who prefer to dial 2-1-1 by phone, calls are answered by phone specialists who are fluent in English, Spanish, and Somali. Staff also have access to a tele-interpreters service that offers over 150 languages to meet the diversity of our community. 2-1-1's powerful search engine is available online for people who want to search the service database themselves. 2-1-1 resource materials are also available in print upon request.
