Our Team

San Diego’s 2-1-1 system has been designed and developed by a dedicated team of staff professionals working with the 2-1-1 Coalition, a collaboration of health and human service providers supported by our founding funders.

  • County Supervisor Greg Cox, one of the strongest backers of bringing 2-1-1 to San Diego, convened and chairs the 2-1-1 Coalition’s Leadership Committee, a panel of prominent San Diegans.
  • The 2-1-1 Steering Committee is drawn from the staff of such nonprofit agencies as the Red Cross, United Way, North County Lifeline, San Diego Workforce Partnership, and Volunteer San Diego, as well as such health care providers as Kaiser and Scripps.
  • Board and Staff
  • We are delighted to have the support of funders as diverse as foundations, corporations, governments, and individuals, including our four keystone founding funders, the First 5 Commission of San Diego County, the County of San Diego, United Way of San Diego County, and San Diego Gas & Electric.

"The volunteers of the 2-1-1 Coalition are leading an exciting, community-based effort that will leave a lasting legacy to our community. They are constructing a key piece of San Diego’s community infrastructure."
Penny Abell, Chair
2-1-1 San Diego Coalition

"Because of the work the 2-1-1 Steering Committee has done to pave the way, people who need help or information will soon only need to remember three numbers: 2-1-1."
Greg Cox, Chair, San Diego County Supervisor
