Alliance Healthcare Foundation

Alliance Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is the greater San Diego region's community partner for improving access to healthcare for our poor and vulnerable populations. AHF strives to promote health and wellness in the San Diego region, with special emphasis on the medically underserved, accomplishing this work through collaborative grantmaking, advocacy, and education. AHF believes that everyone, no matter what age, race, or gender, has the right to access timely, quality and appropriate care, and it envisions a San Diego where everyone, but especially the most vulnerable-the poor and working poor, children and homeless -can access appropriate, timely, and effective healthcare.

Alliance Healthcare Foundation & 2-1-1 San Diego
The Alliance Healthcare Foundation has been a key funder of 2-1-1's Benefits & Enrollment Department which assists clients in completing their CalFresh, MediCal and Healthy Families applications over the phone, submitting them to the County with a telephonic signature.
2-1-1 has been successful in expanding our operations in no small part due to AHF's support in helping 2-1-1 to build capacity and find additional funding streams in the community, including partnerships, ultimately allowing2-1-1 to increase to meet the needs of an ever-growing client base.Through new partnerships, 2-1-1 has been able to enhance our infrastructure in order to provide an effective information service and communications system to our clients, as well as to secure sustainable and diverse funding.
We are grateful to our partners and are always looking for new ways to utilize our connections to expand our information base. If you would like to learn more about our partnerships, please contact Meg Storer, Chief of Staff, at mstorer@211sandiego.org or (858) 300-1240.
