It is with sincere gratitude that we at 2-1-1 thank the more than 650 people who came out for the National 2-1-1 Luncheon on Friday, February 11!
We were so pleased to share our day with each and every guest, partner organization, corporate sponsor and elected official who came out to help us celebrate County Supervisor Greg Cox and his priceless contributions to both 2-1-1 and San Diego. We also want to give special thanks to the event's Honorary Chairs and past honorees, Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Qualcomm Inc., and Jessie J. Knight, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SDG&E, who spoke at the event.
Our own CEO, John Ohanian, was also on hand to share some of the latest, exciting developments at 2-1-1. These include new expanded programs to reach the military community, a newly expanded service area that now reaches into Imperial County, and the brand new office space that 2-1-1 now calls home.
The event was truly a successful one - not only because it raised more than $110,000 – but also because of the energy and anticipation it created. Together, we celebrated all that we have been able to accomplish so far, and anticipated all we have yet to achieve in the future.
