The Foundation's mission is to promote philanthropy through meaningful partnerships with donors and community organizations in achieving charitable goals; to increase current and future support for a vibrant and secure Jewish and general community in San Diego, Israel and around the world. The Foundation partners with individuals, families and community organizations to help them achieve their philanthropic goals and to increase current and future support for a vibrant and secure Jewish community in San Diego, Israel and around the world. For the last five years, the Foundation has given more grants than any other institution  in San Diego. During the fiscal year 2009-10, the Foundation awarded and facilitated $67 million in 4,900 grants to fund 1,200 Jewish and general organizations. Since its inception, the Foundation has granted nearly $600 million to nonprofits.
