Provides s short-term and transitional confidential shelter/housing to victims of homeless domestic violence (male or female) and their children. Services include case management; counseling; support groups; community advocacy; assistance obtaining temporary restraining orders; independent living skills building; emergency food and clothing; and assistance finding stable housing.

  • Capacity/Availability: 12 short-term apartments for families experiencing domestic violence crisis. Transitional housing available at various sites throughout the South Bay area.
  • Eligibility: Shelter accepts both male and female victims of domestic violence with children. Also accepts victims with physical impairments including those who are in wheelchairs, have AIDS, have substance abuse issues, or are blind.
  • Fees: Rent must be paid for transitional housing program (long-term). Rent is 30% of gross monthly income with a mandatory 20% of income going into savings.
