About Oral Health Initiative (First 5 OHI)
The Oral Health Initiative seeks to improve the oral health of children under the age of 6. Components of the initiative include oral health screenings and exams for children and pregnant women, treatment for children and pregnant women with identified oral health issues, and parent and caregiver education.
Additional Information
- Eligibility: Families with children under the age of 6, pregnant women, and women up to three months postpartum.
- Fees: Variable fees, sliding scale based on income and family size. Services are provided at no or low cost to verified American Indians (proof of American Indian heritage required). For others without private insurance, services provided on a sliding fee scale with proof of income. Accepts some insurance plans, including Medi-Cal and Ryan White.
