About Cancer Detection Program
Provides free diagnostic screening and diagnostic imaging services for medically uninsured or underinsured women younger than 40 years. All women qualifying for this program need to go through the community clinic for a breast exam in order to be referred for radiology services at the Scripps Breast Cancer Center in La Jolla. Covers the following diagnostic services: diagnostic mammogram, ultrasound, ultrasound-guided biopsy, stereotactic core biopsy, and fine needle localization biopsy.
