About Casa Nuestra Runaway and Youth Program
Provides crisis intervention and shelter to homeless and runaway youth. Services include, ongoing support for the individual and/or family, family reunification, counseling, independent living skills training, and referral to other community programs as needed. Also provide advocacy with CPS. Offers aftercare secondary services, including counseling, employment assistance, and tutoring.

- Capacity/Availability: 8-bed shelter.
- Eligibility: Children ages 12 to 17 years who are runaways, homeless, and/or having difficulties in the family home (past history of running away, police involvement, etc). Emergency shelter accepts youth with physical impairments (including those in wheelchairs or who are blind), AIDS, or alcohol/drug abuse problems. Accepts pregnant teens (first trimester only). Accept youth who are mentally/emotionally disturbed who are on medication. Must enroll or be enrolled in school or a day program.

- Fees: Sliding scale fees range from $0 to $45. No one refused service due to inability to pay. Accepts Medi-Cal for counseling services.
