About Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) Program
Pays private health insurance premiums for Medi-Cal beneficiaries who have pre-existing medical conditions and meet the program's eligibility requirements. The benefits of this program includes: health coverage at no cost to the applicant/beneficiary; private health coverage that may cover services that are not covered by Medi-Cal; the applicant/beneficiary will be able to keep their current doctor; and the applicant/beneficiary will not loose their Medi-Cal benefits.
