About Healthcare Access Project (HCA)
The First 5 Healthcare Access Project is aimed at increasing health insurance enrollment, retention, and utilization of services for children under the age of 6 who are eligible for Medi-Cal and Healthy Families but are not enrolled. The project also targets pregnant women who are eligible for Medi-Cal and AIM, but are not enrolled. Agencies provide application assistance for health insurance programs (Healthy Families, Medi-Cal, AIM).
