Offers health promotion and disease prevention services with a focus on nutrition programs. Provides a teaching kitchen which is used for cooking demonstrations, food preparation, nutrition planning, and food safety education. Offers tips for shopping economically for nutritious foods. Offers classes for Somali teen girls and Somali adults that focus on cultural cooking practices emphasizing nutrition and physical activity. Offers a class for adults ages 50 years and older that teaches strategies for healthier cooking and eating. Offers a family nutrition program, which includes healthy cooking, meal planning, and budgeting for food. Also offers a support group for new mothers that focuses on breastfeeding and nutrition issues. Offers nutrition classes in Spanish.
