About Nutrition Services for Seniors

Serves hot lunches to seniors and their spouses. The El Cajon, Chula Vista, Mid-City, and Centro Hispano locations provide home-delivered meals to homebound seniors and offer limited transportation escort services. Social activities vary from site to site but include games, crafts, outings, and speakers who address topics of interest. The Centro Hispano site offers Spanish translation services.

  • Eligibility: Adults ages 60 and older. Must be homebound to receive home-delivered meals.
  • Fees: For those 60 years and older, a donation of $3 is suggested for congregate meals and requested for home-delivered meals. $5 fee charged for congregate meal for persons younger than 60 years.
  • Food Service Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Intake: Phone or walk in. Some locations require a reservation for congregate meal. North Park location does not have a phone; walk-in intake only.
