Pediatric Development Services and Healthy Development Services

About Pediatric Development Services and Healthy Development Services

Provides screening of newborns and children to identify those that demonstrate potential for developmental delays. Developmental assessment is available to children 4 months or older. Once identified, Child Development Specialists offer families information and support with infant development, parent education, age-appropriate toys and activities, pre-language stimulation, basic infant nutrition, and in-home developmental activities. Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Pathologists offer consultations as concerns are identified. A center-based toddler enrichment program is also available for children ages 2 to 3 years (at Logan Heights site only). Program serves families with infants and toddlers who are at risk of or have been identified with developmental delays.
