About Rental Assistance and Security Deposit Guarantee Program

Offers a rental assistance program for low-income individuals that acts as a liaison between a tenant and landlord to negotiate a payment schedule agreeable to both parties when a tenant is behind on the rent or needs money for the security deposit. If the tenant defaults on the scheduled payment, the program makes the payment (the tenant must reimburse the program). The agreement is formalized in a written contract. Program services are subject to funding availability. Also offers lists of lower cost rental housing.
