About The Transitional Youth Academy

Provides long-term case management, behavoirial health and mental health services to at-risk youth ages 12-24 in the North Coastal Area (including foster youth). Also provides services to youth with mental illness. This program helps youth finish high school, gain employment, be supported by a mentor, and receive training in life skills. Provides behavioral health assessments and counseling. Provides career development, social, and vocational case management services. Offers career assessment, apprenticeship placements, and financial literacy training. Provides classes and individualized programs to meet requirements for school re-entry and for probation (decision making, anger management, aggression replacement therapy). Provides referrals to academic training including opportunities to earn a high school diploma or GED. Offers gang prevention and information services. Provides parenting support, guidance, and referrals.
